iimpact India is funded largely by corporate donors in India. Many of these companies have been impacted by the global pandemic and some have cut back their funding. As a result, we now have 56 Learning Centres without ongoing funding. Closing a Learning Centre, each with 30 girls who are reliant on it for their education, is a last resort.
Due to lockdown restrictions, Learning Centres are not currently operational, but teachers need to be retained and paid. They are engaged in communicating best practices to avoid infection and the supply of essential personal products to meet the needs of girl children.
iimpact Australia is now embarking on a campaign to fund these Learning Centres, appealing to both individuals and charitable foundation
